Shohei Ohtani is one of the greatest baseball player, needless to say.
2016: Shohei Ohtani was the winning pitcher of Pacific League-NPB( Nippon Professional Baseball Organization).It was amazing.

(Note: opposing team’s pitcher was Yusei Kikuchi in Seattle Mariners)
It was in 2016, 28 Sep.
Shohei Ohtani, he was the tossed pitcher in victory of Pacific League.
And Opposing team’s pitcher was Yusei Kikuchi(Seattle Mariners) who is Shohei’s senior at High school baseball team.
(In Japan, there are two leagues named Pacific and Central, each league has 6 teams)
Let’s back in 1976. When I was 10 yrs old.
(I love baseball and played softball when I was junior high. I was infielder but ghost. )
NPB was not good Baseball Organization for me who lived in country side in Japan.
We only have 2 or 3 TV channels.(2 were NHK: non-commercial broadcasting)
So, local city citizen only could watch the major(rich) team games like Giants, Giants and Giants(Central league).
Thus the most of Japanese seemed like — a fan of Yomiuri Giants which belongs to the huge media conglomerate group(TV broadcasting, newspapaer, amusement park, etc)
In accordance with the times, we local citizen could watch many games including Pacific League.(4 Commercial broadcastings were there, but no internet)
When I was 20 yrs old. I was the fan of Seibu Lions which Young players belong to like Shohei Ohtani.
Time goes by,
I was not interested in Baseball for a while…
2012, He was drafted by the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters out of High School, played from 2013 as “two-way” player.
Finally 2016, 29 October,
Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters was the top of NPB
(First time for Shohei Ohtani and for the team, third time in 10 years)
Next year, 2018 Shohei Ohtani was transfer to Los Angles Angels!
The situation continues up to today.
